Utah Clean Energy’s Solar Training Scholarship is offered to individuals who are interested in becoming installers of solar photovoltaic systems in Utah. The Scholarship will cover $700 of the $850 fee for Solar Energy International’s “Grid Tied PV Systems” workshop on March 31 – April 4, 2008. This workshop is geared toward those seeking employment in the growing solar industry. Participants will gain technical skills and a strong foundation of how to design and safely install solar-electric systems. Participants learn system sizing, site analysis, hardware specification, and component selection of grid-tied systems.

Scholarship Guidelines

- The scholarship will cover $700 of the $850 workshop fee (this includes a one-year annual membership to SEI).
- The scholarship will apply to the March 31 - April 4, 2008 ““Grid Tied PV Systems” workshop offered by Solar Energy International. The workshop will be held in Salt Lake City at the Utah Geological Survey Office.
- Preference will be given to those applicants who plan to become solar installers.
