The Utah Solar Working Group is a newly formed task force whose objective is to identify and remove barriers to the development of solar power in Utah.

Sign up for the Solar Working Group list serve through the UGS State Energy program.

Stakeholders include representatives from federal, state and local governments, utilities, renewable energy advocates, solar power industry, environmental organizations, landowners, and other entities interested in the development of solar energy facilities in Utah.

Objectives:

  • To increase general awareness of solar energy
  • To identify issues/barriers to development of solar energy
  • To identify potential actions to advance deployment of residential and commercial scale solar applications

Membership:
The Utah Solar Working Group is open to all interested parties. Invitations are extended to representatives from key organizations, businesses, industry, local governments and agencies, and individuals interested in the deployment of solar power in Utah. Anyone interested in solar power in Utah is welcome to join.

Meetings:
The working group meets quarterly or as appropriate. Most meetings will be held in Salt Lake City and hosted by a member organization, but meetings may be held in other locations in the state.
