Installing a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) system on your facility is an efficient, clean, and reliable approach to meet your energy needs. CHP systems generate power and thermal energy from a single fuel source, which can meet the electrical and thermal base loads of a facility. CHP systems reduce energy costs and decrease greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants.

What is CHP technology?

Who makes up the CHP project team?

The EPA CHP Partnership is a voluntary program involving energy users, the CHP industry, local government, and other key stakeholders.

This partnership is designed to facilitate the development of new CHP projects, provide services for participating partners, and disseminate information on the benefits of CHP for business and industry.

Partners will receive public recognition to highlight their commitment to sustainable and efficient energy technology. Click here to determine if your facility qualifies for a CHP system and find out more about the five stage development process, which involves a feasibility analysis, procurement of CHP technology, maintenance and operation.
